The Alaskan Ocean Guardian School Program engages K-12 students and teachers from across the state to expand awareness and lead actions to address ocean and watershed conservation needs in their school and local community. Each school makes a commitment to the protection and conservation of its local watersheds, the world’s ocean, and special ocean areas by proposing and then implementing school- or community-based conservation projects. This web-page is dedicated to sharing outcomes from the efforts taking place in Alaska schools.
For more information on how your school can become an Ocean Guardian School check out the program website managed by NOAA’s Office of National Marine Sanctuaries.
